On the heels of Tuesday's record-breaking ratings, which placed UPN first at 9:00PM among women 18-34 and second among adults 18-34, UPN will hit the catwalk again picking up a third and fourth cycle of "America's Next Top Model," the hit dramality series featuring supermodel Tyra Banks.
"America's Next Top Model" gives young women an opportunity to prove that they can make it in the high-stress, high-stakes world of supermodeling. The series follows participants of various backgrounds, shapes and sizes while they live together in a New York loft and compete in weekly tests as they vie for a modeling contract.
"America's Next Top Model" has become a monumental success for UPN, delivering record-breaking ratings and triple-digit growth in key demos. "America's Next Top Model" has ranked first in its time period each week during the current cycle among women 18-34, and the most recent episode (1/27/04) ranked second in its time period among UPN's target demographic of adults 18-34 (3.9/11) and persons 12-34 (4.0/11).
Delivering UPN's best ratings EVER in the Tuesday 9:00-10:00PM time period among women 18-34 (6.1/15) and women 18-49 (5.1/11), the most recent episode of "America's Next Top Model" also ranked as the third highest rated telecast in UPN's history with women 18-34. "America's Next Top Model" also scored UPN's second best time period performance ever among adults 18-34 (3.9/11), adults 18-49 (3.4/8) and total viewers (7.11 million).
Producers will soon begin a nationwide talent search for a diverse group of young of real women who will vie to become the next top model. Applications to enter the third cycle of the competition will be available soon exclusively at www.upn.com .
The executive producers are Ken Mok ("Making the Band") and Tyra Banks. "America's Next Top Model" is produced by 10 by 10 Entertainment in association with Ty Ty Baby Productions. The dramality was created by Tyra Banks and developed by Mok and Kenya Barris.

Instinct Magazine, America's #1 Gay Men's Magazine, released details today about its blockbuster January 2004 issue, featuring exclusive interviews with supermodel Tyra Banks and Jay Manuel from the hit UPN show "America's Next Top Model."
The cover, shot exclusively for Instinct by Rodolfo Martinez, featuring Jay Manuel and Tyra Banks, is an Instinct first - that is, the first time a woman has appeared on Instinct's cover.
"Every gay man has that one best female friend," said Editor in Chief Parker Ray. The American supermodel and actress has, until now, kept her singing ambition intensely private, in a bid to avoid the stigma associated with attempting to jump from the catwalk into a pop career. "I didn't want the press and public to know, because I feel that when you're moving from one field to another, you have to show what you can do, not just talk about it," she told contactmusic.com. Page 72 of a recent Us Weekly looks more like something out of Playgirl.
A story about the second season of Top Model, a reality show on UPN hosted by Tyra Banks, is illustrated with a photo of a redhead in body paint accompanied by a blond male model on one knee. His raised leg is supposed to conceal his nether regions, but something is dangling into view, according to the New York Post.
Us editors are said to be furious with UPN, which provided the photo. A network rep says, "It's been busy around here, and apparently someone took their eye off the . . . " (You can guess the rest.)
We know our audience wouldn't be tempted to sneak a peek. We're only telling so you won't accidentally see it.

She says, "I always really wanted children. I've never been attached to the whole marriage idea but then I realised I probably care about it a little bit more than the average person.
